Dec 2022 – MVP1SP2 Status
MVP1SP2 is shorthand for Minimum Viable Product version 1, sprint #2. This sprint coincides with the calendar month of December 2022.
In sprint #2, we focused on the People Listing and People Detail pages.
We’ve connected the data model to the app and also built the intermediate software required to dynamically display the information.
For example:
Take a look at the left-hand side, at the Timeline. Every time this page is displayed, we present the Events from Judas’ life in a dynamic way. In other words, if we ever add new information to the computer model about Judas, the app will display it the next time you go to his page!
Important note: these images were originally generated by an AI called midjourney and post-processed by our own Gary Tonge.
Jan-Feb 2023 – MVP1SP3 (MVP1 Sprint3)
MVP1SP3 is shorthand for Minimum Viable Product version 1, sprint #3. This sprint coincides with the calendar months of January-February 2023.
During this sprint, Lisa and January will focus on designing the Journey mode.
Fraser and Gabriel will focus in implementing the Timeline and Article pages.
A warm welcome to our new team member, January.
Creative Writing
The third writer’s conference took place on Jan 9th. MaryJo gave an in-depth presentation of the wealth of information and resources in truthbook.com. Later, Mike explained how we use tags and how we create the hyperlinks for the app from the computer model.
Each written piece represents an original new exposition of a Person, Location, Topic or Relationship from part IV of The Urantia Book.
In essence, we are writing a whole Wikipedia only about the life and teachings of Jesus.
Data Curation
Susan, Mike and Sandra continue to correct the computer model and add tags.
We received a wonderful resource (thank you to whoever made this): The Connected Urantia Book (download). We wrote a blog post about this resource.
We Need Your Help
As you can imagine, this is a huge project but we have a team of enthusiastic Urantia students working on it. Lisa is creating the pages, functionality, and the look and feel of the Jesus Metaverse App. Fraser is developing the app to work on smart phones, tablets, and computers in both Apple and Android.
This is our next fund raising challenge, but it will be the final major step to bring this project to completion.
We are estimating that we will need an additional $60,000 for app development.
