Why The CFU
This short quote from the Urantia book is the origin of the name “The Center for Unity”.
“The religion of Jesus is the most powerful unifying influence the world has ever known.” (194:3:17)
What is the “religion of Jesus”? One aspect of it is the teaching that we are all sisters and brothers, children of one divine parent. Another aspect of it is that we need not look alike, feel alike, think alike or act alike to be united. A family is an expression of diversity as much as it is an expression of unity.
Imagine what our world would look like if we all did our best to live this teaching and treat each other as sisters and brothers?
Our work in the Center for Unity is devoted to sharing the Jesus before Christianity and the possibility and benefits of having a personal relationship with God. And when each of us strives to live like this, the world will slowly transform into something very different.
