Tact is the fulcrum of social leverage, and tolerance is the earmark of a great soul. If you possess these rare and charming gifts, as the days pass you will become more alert and expert in your worthy efforts to avoid all unnecessary social misunderstandings. Teachings of Jesus, 156:5.18 (1740.5)
One of the most important things we have to develop as human beings is Tact & Tolerance. We have always to keep in mind that the interactions with our brothers and sisters can be frictional and conflictive. This is because we each have different points of view because of our individual perceptions. Truth is one, but the way we engage with life is limitless; there are over 8 billion perceptions of truth.
When we interact with our brethren we need to be tactful, so that we can move forward. We also have to bare tolerance so that even we we are aggravated we remain in our center. With these two fruits we can navigate human existence without grieving our counterparts and tolerating any wrongdoing or aggression we may get from them. If we all can reach brotherly love without unnecessary misunderstandings and conflict.
